For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

Hebrews 11:2 NKJV

The Hebrew writer spoke of a good testimony that was obtained through faith. The testimony spoke of needs being supernaturally supplied, lives being delivered and protected and so much more.

This is not just a mere belief, or an assumption or a wish that it might happen kind of faith. This is an absolute trust in God in what God had said.

They obtained a great outcome by believing in God TILL THE END on what He has said.

This is not the kind of faith that throws to God and say, "Lord if this is your will, let it be so."

This is the faith that held on tight to God's word without being shaken from it.

This is the kind of faith that held on to the promises when all hell broke loose.

Their dependence is not on their own power, resources, strength and wisdom but on what God had said.

They may not have understood why things happened the way it had happened or when they found themselves in a place of being sick, rejected, barren or broken yet they believed God till the end without wavering.

We all want a good outcome in every battle that we face and here God is showing us how to get that good outcome.

It is through faith in God's word.

God wants His children to have the best outcomes that are beyond their abilities. Abraham wanted a son, God made Abraham a father of many nations.

We must not limit God by what we see around us but we are to enlarge our vision by looking at His greatness, power, love and strength.

When we change our vision, from our circumstances towards God and His Word, it will start to change the bad report to a good report to obtain a good testimony.

Let us build our faith in God by changing our focus from the words, thoughts, and circumstances of the world to looking unto Jesus the Author of life.
