“until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen,”

It is important to take note and to take into consideration that after the death and resurrection of Jesus, Jesus appeared to His disciples to enforce the teachings He had been teaching them, which is His kingdom.

There is nothing else that Jesus focuses on except the Kingdom of God and everything pertaining to it.

This emphasizes that as born-again believers in Christ Jesus, we have received a new image. We have become a citizen in His kingdom and we have a new system that governs His kingdom.

The renewing of our minds is about changing our belief system and the way we live from the old kingdom to a new kingdom in Christ.

Jesus did not die for us just to be saved but to be saved, redeemed of our identity, restored to our kingship and bring the world back into God’s kingdom.

Jesus is presenting to us a kingdom that He had restored. A kingdom for us to take ownership of, to have dominion over, to cultivate and to replenish the earth.

Jesus appeared after His resurrection to make sure the message of the kingdom of God is clear to be preached.

We are carriers of His Presence, we are carriers of His glory and we are carriers of His kingdom.

Let us put aside our religious duties which amount to nothing and start living, preaching, teaching, spreading and establishing the kingdom of God everywhere we go.
