Mark‬ ‭4:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus taught the people about the kingdom of God and how it works. The first thing is to listen and behold. What we are listening and what we are beholding will shape our beliefs and our values. To give ear, mind and heart to the word of God is something we cannot do away with. God’s word is eternal, sure and is the truth. The second thing we need to realise and believe is that the sower went out to sow. In Genesis 3:15 God spoke about two kinds of seed. One is of satan and one is of God. Jesus is the seed that has been sown into the world. Jesus is the only seed that mankind has to grow into the likeness and image of God. There is nothing man can do to earn this seed. It is a gift from our Father in heaven sowed through Jesus so He can have back His own lost children. The seed is sown but every one of us have the choice of what we are going to do with the seed and how are we going to guard it. The enemy wants to steal the seed away from us. Satan's lies and manipulation always stand contrary to what God has said. This parable teaches us to be vigilant against the lies of the enemy and be focused on God, to put into action the word of God and to nurture the word. We need to nurture it by watering it and praying in the spirit, to believe it, speak it and take the step of faith to walk in it. Every word Jesus spoke to us is the seed we need to grow into so that we can bear the fruits that our Father desire. Let us listen and behold Jesus and all that He has done for us. Guarding, nurturing and spreading the word of the living God Blessings
