Ephesians‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul is speaking to the condition of the people of God who have fallen into the mould of their own beliefs and comfort instead of following God wholly. Believers need to be awakened from self-consciousness to God-consciousness. We often fall into the customs and thinking of men and their experiences instead of fixing our eyes on God and what the Holy Spirit of God reveals to us. We need to be awakened from all our agendas to God's agenda and start looking into all that God had said and live in them. Some believers have fallen asleep. They are sleeping with all the gifts, power, authority and love of God. They are hoping to see the move of God while God is hoping that believers will wake up and start using all that He has put into their lives. A sleeping church is a powerless church. The church Jesus gave birth to is a church that the gates of hell shall not prevail against. It means that the church of Jesus is active, alive and powerful to shine forth His glory and power. And some have become dead in the spirit. Once believing, excited, liberated and set free but now have gone back to nothing. Some were hurt, unforgiving and disobedient. These are serious matters that rob us of our joy, peace, hope and faith in Christ Jesus. The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. These three areas of his plans to accomplish. Therefore we as a church should fix our eyes, our mind and our heart to the One who has come, has given us life and life more abundantly. When we arise from sleep and deadness of ourself, we will see the light of Christ and glorify our Father in heaven. Let us be activated from the inside out by building ourself in the spirit and in the word of the living Christ. Strengthening one another in the Lord. Blessings
