‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:58‬ ‭NKJV

“Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:58‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus was teaching in His own hometown among the people He grew up with. The people did not recognise Him that much and was astonished by His teachings. Then they started to reason and found out that Jesus is from their own village, a boy who grew up with them. The amplified translation says that they refused to believe in Him, not because His teachings were wrong but because of pride, self-centredness and familiarity. We can hear an astonishingly powerful teaching and receive powerful revelations from God but if we start to question, debate and look for familiarity to suit ourself, we will lose the blessings that God intended to give. Just because Jesus could not do many miracles in His own hometown does not make Him less, missed the mark or heard God wrongly. The problem was not Jesus going to His own hometown. The problem was the people refused to believe in Him. Everything about the teachings of Jesus is perfect. If we embrace it with faith, without doubt and do not reason with our flesh, we will see the manifestations of His glory. Let us, therefore, believe every word that Jesus is teaching us through the power of His Spirit. Let us build ourselves up in the revelation knowledge of who Jesus is. Blessings
