Romans 12:10 NKJV
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;
Romans 12:10 NKJV
God's word teaches us about genuine love and care for each other, putting others above our own interests. This reflects the life of Christ on earth, who lived to save mankind from eternal death.
As a man, Christ had all the qualities and needs of a human, but He didn't live for Himself. Instead, He brought true peace and true love and became the perfect sacrifice for all mankind. He lived His life with us in mind.
God deserves to be loved and honored for what He has done for humanity. Honor and love come not from demanding, but from giving. As Christ did for all mankind, we can do the same for each other.
We can ask ourselves:
Do we truly prefer others?
Do we do what we like, or what is good for others?
Christ is our ultimate model, guide, and truth. By imitating Him, we will find ourselves doing what He did on earth.
The principle of sowing and reaping is powerful. When we sow love, we can expect love to come back. When we prefer others, others will prefer us.
Let us keep Christ as the model for our lives and love each other as He has loved us.
Blessings,
Ps Ambrose
