I Corinthians 1:26 NKJV

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.

I Corinthians 1:26 NKJV

The Apostle Paul writes to help the Corinthians recognize the call of God over their lives. He wants them to understand that the One who called them has equipped them with the resources to accomplish the vision.

Paul's goal is to keep their eyes fixed on the One who has called them, living life in the power of Christ. He writes to prevent pride and encourage them to continue moving in the glory and power of God.

Paul is not diminishing the value of education or suggesting that the wise, noble, and wealthy cannot be used by God. Rather, he's emphasizing that God's power is not dependent on human wisdom or achievements.

God looks for people who will trust in His wisdom, listen to His counsel, and surrender to His will.

Problems arise when we rely on our own wisdom, allowing pride to hinder the work God has planned.

A teachable heart towards God will bring great enlightenment, guiding us in the directions He wants us to take.

Let us continue to trust in God in all areas of our lives, looking to Him and following His lead.

Blessings,

Ps Ambrose
