“If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

The commandment that Jesus gave us is to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, soul and mind.

Loving God and keeping His commands is the same thing. We can say that we love God but if we don’t keep His word, we are not loving God.

If we say that we love God but do not do what His word tells us to, we are deceived.

This is because loving God has to do with keeping and living in agreement with what He has said.

None of us are living in perfect harmony in every area of our lives according to His word but we all can certainly believe and start by first agreeing with God.

To come into agreement with God is to love God and be pleasing unto the Lord.

Jesus has not only given us the command to love but He also perfected us in His love.

This means before the assignment to love was given, we have been empowered with His perfect love.

Therefore, we have no excuse not to operate in love every day.

God is love and He has made us in His image and likeness. As He is, so are we in this world.

Therefore, we who bear God’s image are love and we are to lay down our life for each other because that is what love does.

Let us direct our minds and hearts to live in agreement with God’s word so that we can be bold and love God every day.
