Acts 2:26 NKJV
“Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.”
Acts 2:26 NKJV
David said concerning our Lord Jesus that his heart rejoiced while his tongue was glad and his flesh rested in hope.
David rejoiced because he understood his God.
He had experienced his God and he had seen the deliverance of God in his life time after time.
His assurance of God is not just in his mind and heart but it has been consumed in him that he can believe God no matter how the situation may be.
One of the reasons David became someone who is consumed by God and His presence is that he meditated on the goodness of God.
He has written song after song and painted in his mind and his heart the power, might, love, grace and mercy of God in his life.
He caused his tongue to be like a skillful pen ready to address praises to God.
David was glad because he knew his expected end in his God. He knew that the enemy could do whatever he wanted but the Lord had the final word.
Today, we have Jesus Christ our Lord living in us by His Spirit. Rejoicing in the Lord should be our daily lifestyle.
Painting the pictures of God’s goodness and mercy should be our daily work so that when trouble comes, we are not shaken.
There is so much to thank God for the way He has loved us, and the way He has shown us His mercy and kindness.
Complaints and murmuring about things should not be on the lips of a believer. Praise for our God should ever be on our lips.
Let us rise up and rejoice in the Lord, be glad and rest in hope for we have an awesome God.
Blessings
