Psalms‬ ‭16‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.”

When David faced his enemies, he acknowledged his position in God and who is God to him.

This is not just a confession that David made but this is what he believed in.

He declared that he had set the Lord always before him. He acknowledged God’s will before his own.

He also declared that because God is at his right hand, it means God is his ultimate strength and power.

As a new creation in Christ, we are in God and God is in us. Therefore, our confidence should surpass that of David or any other people of God in the old covenant.

We have become sons of God, an heir of His kingdom and His ambassador here on earth.

God is not calling us just to believe in Him but to take our rightful place as children of God.

We have a destiny and a purpose that is bigger than David. It is too big to comprehend yet it is the truth.

God entrusted David with an earthly kingdom so that Christ can be brought into this earth, now we have been entrusted with a heavenly kingdom so that we can bring heaven here on earth.

Let us be constant and diligent in God as we carry out His assignments here on earth.
