James 5:8 NKJV
“You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”
James 5:8 NKJV
James is encouraging the believers to keep standing in the truth with the patience that they have received in Christ just like a farmer waiting patiently for the full harvest to come.
During the first few weeks, the farmers might not even see a single evidence of abundance.
Yet the farmer keeps watering and keeps guarding it from the birds and insects.
By faith, the farmer keeps doing what he knows to be true.
We too need to be patient in sowing the word of God, practicing all that Christ has given and keep believing by faith that the abundance of God will be manifested in our lives.
We cannot lose heart and stop believing or stop speaking God’s word just because we don’t see the evidence immediately.
We should continue patiently until we see the evidence of God’s word coming alive in us.
If the farmer quits watering and quit taking care of his vineyard, the seed dies and will never come to life.
That does not mean that the seed is no good but it is because there is a lack of patience to water and care for that seed.
We have received abundance from Christ.
We have all that we need in Christ to live a victorious life.
The manifestation of the growth of the seed that Jesus has planted in our spirit, we may not see it now but if we continue to bring our mind and hearts to what Christ has established, then we will surely see His manifestation in our lives.
Let us be patient In exercising God’s word by believing and aligning ourselves according to the finished work of the cross.
