Exodus 3:6 NKJV
“Moreover He said, “I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.”
Exodus 3:6 NKJV
When God revealed to Moses who He is, Moses was afraid and hid his face from God.
God wanted to reveal Himself to Moses and showed him His plans to deliver His people.
Guilt, condemnation and past failures can cause us to hide away from God.
God was not the one who is hiding but man, because man can see their own mistakes.
God, on the other hand, wants to rescue people from sin, from the curse and from destruction.
From the beginning, God has always let His love and mercy reach mankind.
God does not want us to look at our mistakes, for He has already dealt with them.
What God wants from us is to look at Him and His plans for our lives.
God wants us to live in His Divine power and in His Divine glory.
God sent Moses to get into the glory that was passing away.
But God our Father sent His Son Jesus to bring us into His eternal glory.
If we are afraid, we have chosen to see our mistakes, but if we are bold and confident, we have chosen to look at what Christ has done for us.
What lens we put on will project a different picture.
Let us put on Christ and not be afraid but be bold to live in His glory and power.
