‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭30‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.”

‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭30‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

David was greatly grieved not over the situation that took place in Ziklag but over the way the people he led responded to him.

The people saw the reality of what happened but they turned against David and blamed him for what happened.

They blamed David for the place being burned up and all their wives, women and children were taken captive.

David’s grieving was not over the list of his wife and his belongings but over the reaction of his people that did not trust in God. Yet David's trust and hope in God is not shaken.

So what did David do? David strengthened himself in the Lord.

What David did is what we need to do when we face our mountains in life.

Instead of being drowned by that grief and sorrow, David turned his focus on strengthening himself in the Lord.

David strengthened himself the way he knew best, he sought the Lord.

God gave him plans on what to do. Therefore, David RECOVERED THEM ALL and brought back much more than what the enemy took.

Don’t let ourselves be drowned in sorrows but stir ourselves up in Christ and we will have back far more than what we could ever ask or think.

Let us keep building ourselves in Christ and remain in Him.

Blessings
