“But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

After Jesus spoke about His flesh as food and His blood as drink, many were offended as they thought Jesus was speaking about becoming cannibals.

Many of Jesus followers left Him because they did not understand what Jesus was speaking about.

As Jesus spoke in Matthew 4:4 which is a quotation from Deuteronomy 8:3 that men shall not live by bread alone but by every WORD that proceeds from the mouth of God.

Jesus is the word of God manifested to mankind. His word is food for our spirit man and His Spirit is the water we live with.

Peter saw it. Peter caught it and Peter professed it.

Peter said, "You have the WORDS of eternal life." Peter understood that Jesus is God and He is the word to all mankind.

Every promise Jesus established for all mankind is food to strengthen our lives and His Spirit guides us to all our paths.

The more we read the Word of God, understand it and believe in it, it becomes a source of strength, energy and power to live a supernatural life as Jesus walked on this earth.

We are all called to be imitators of God, to be the exact representation of Him in this world.

Therefore, we cannot do without our spiritual food and our spiritual drink - which is the Word of God and the Spirit of God.

Let us be diligent in having our spiritual food daily and walk in the Spirit all the days of our lives.
