“And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.”

Jesus told His disciples to take heed that no one deceives them. This is to say that there is a lot of deception during the time of Jesus.

That word is the same for us today so that we do not get deceived.

Deception is everywhere. It is a snare and a trap that captures us to believe things that are contrary to the kingdom of God.

Deception can come through our feelings, our circumstances, and through religious beliefs.

There is only one truth that will help us to stand against deception and that is Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus died, defeated death, and exposed deception so that it can no longer deceive believers.

If we don’t believe what Jesus did for us on the cross, we have been deceived.

If we are trying to get God to do something He has told us to do, we have been deceived.

If we believe that we don’t have what God says we have, we have been deceived.

It is important that we agree to all that Christ has done for us whether we feel or don’t feel like it, have or don’t have it, can see or cannot see it.

What Jesus did for each one of us is so precious that no one should live in ignorance of His finished work.

Let us continue to lift up our eyes and see what Christ has done and come out of any religious beliefs and its system.
