I Thessalonians 5:19 NKJV
Do not quench the Spirit.
I Thessalonians 5:19 NKJV
Paul warns the believers not to stifle, block, choke or quench the Holy Spirit.
The Bible clearly shows us that we all as believers become a dwelling place of the Holy Spirit. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
God, the Holy Spirit dwells in us to help every part of us to be in tune with every part of God.
The Holy Spirit teaches us and reveals to us our true image in Christ Jesus. God, the Holy Spirit warms our hearts and minds to the things of the Kingdom of God.
How did we quench the Holy Spirit of God? We quench Him by refusing to believe what God has said, what God has done and what God is doing now.
We quench the Holy Spirit when we don't follow His leading.
We quench the Holy Spirit when we drag this temple of God to do things against His nature.
Jesus died, rose again and left us a very important part of Him, God, the Holy Spirit.
The more we are in tune with the Holy Spirit, the better outpouring of Him we will get.
This treasure of the kingdom of God that Jesus has deposited in us can flow out of us if we follow the directions, guidance and revelations from God, the Holy Spirit.
We as believers who have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit have a spiritual exercise machine that is praying in the spirit.
Praying in the spirit not only edifies us spiritually but also makes us more sensitive to hear, see and to be led by God, the Holy Spirit.
When we spend time praying in the spirit, we develop a spiritual culture within that signals our mind and heart to the direction God wants us to go.
The enemy, satan is defeated and has lost his power. Jesus took the keys, authority and power and gave them to us. When we don't believe God's word, we simply allow the enemy to gain access to our lives.
We need to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in order to walk in all the fullness of what Jesus has established for us.
Let us be aware that we can't keep indulging in the things of the world here and there. We must decide to completely trust God and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit wherever He is leading us.
