“So Joseph brought them from beside his knees, and he bowed down with his face to the earth.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭48‬:‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Joseph’s sons would have been sitting on their grandfather Jacob's lap or might have been standing close to him.

Joseph took his children from that place to a posture of honour before his father Jacob.

Jacob blessed Joseph‘s children and blessed them with the same blessings he had received from God.

Joseph understood the posture to receive blessings. He brought them to the right posture, Joseph bowed his head to the ground, humbly receiving the blessing from his father.

Today God is not requiring us to bow our faces to the ground but to lift up our heads unto Him.

It means to bring our heads around His promises, bringing our thinking to the right posture according to His purpose that will give God the ultimate honour.

How we posture our hearts and mind are critical, not for God but for us on the receiving end.

God changes not, lacks not, and forever He is the same, Almighty, forever God and there will be no one but Him.

Therefore, whatever we do will not affect God but only affects us. Our posture will determine the blessings in our lives.

Let us bring ourselves in the right posture, aligning our hearts and minds according to the new image we have in Christ.
