“But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.”

While the people who do not know Jesus were surprised by the storms that came their way, we who know Jesus should not be taken by surprise.

For the word of God has spoken to prepare us and equip us for the day of judgment.

Judgment day is not just the day when we all give an account of our lives before the Father but it is every day.

The final judgment day is the day when we give an account of all the accumulated deeds we did with our lives from the day we were born.

Every day is a judgment day to set our lives according to God and His purpose.

This is not a discouraging statement but an encouraging one because we are not to be surprised by it.

In Christ Jesus, we have been equipped to face everything because we have been raised with power in Jesus.

God’s word shows us that in everything, we who believe in Him will have the solution, answers, ideas, wisdom, and knowledge to handle every situation in life.

If we give ear to God’s word and His Spirit, we will hear His voice and find the directions to our path.

Many will say but I can’t hear God. God is not speaking to me. The real problem does not lie in God but in us.

The noises of the world, noises of the ideology that surrounds us, and our worries drown the voice of God.

But the moment we drop every thought, and worry and empty our heart and mind from the things of the world, then with an open heart we will hear His voice clearly.

Beloved, we have been equipped by God to surprise the storms of life with the power of God. We are the ones who bring surprises to suppress the devil, to cast him out, to heal the sick, and to restore the brokenness.

Let us stand strong in the power and glory of God and take our storms by surprise.
