Nehemiah 6:11 NKJV

And I said, “Should such a man as I flee? And who is there such as I who would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in!” Nehemiah 6:11 NKJV

Nehemiah responded to the condition and the need for the future of God's people. He risked his life once before the king to ask for leave to rebuild the wall. This is because the nation that God gave to the Jews, now lay in ruins. But one chose to turn aside to look at the kingdom of God and responded by putting his hand into rebuilding it. While building, he faced many challenges, many persecutions and his own life were at risk many times. Yet Nehemiah did not waver in his stand and he finished the task. When the spies came to tell him to flee, he stood and will not move but finished what was in his heart. We know there are things that God has shown us to do, there are things that we know we need to respond to for the kingdom of God. We need to be prepared to press through every temptation of the thoughts to give up what comes along the way. We may not get the support, we may not have the finances and many other reasons as to why we should stop. We also may have people close to us telling us it is not working or it cannot be done. We need to know that God is the supplier, God is the one who protects and God will accomplish the task if we continue faithfully doing what He has called us to do. We will face challenges and it will cost us but in the end, we will receive a reward that no money can buy. Lives will be grateful for all that we respond to today. If Nehemiah can do that with the old covenant blessings, how much more we can do with the new covenant in Christ Jesus. Blessings Ambrose Francis
