I Corinthians 16:17 NKJV

I am glad about the coming of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, for what was lacking on your part they supplied. I Corinthians 16:17 NKJV. There is such strength in unity which contributes towards the building of the kingdom of God. This is not about doing what the disciples like but meeting the needs in the house of God. The disciples made themselves available in faith and being the messenger, helper, provider both for Paul and the believers there. Just like Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, we too can be a helper, encourager and provider to the family of God. We can be a blessing to the family of God by faith. The boy with two fish and five loaves may no have enough for five people but faith in Christ Jesus has caused it to feed five thousand men, not including women and children. Being a helper, an encourager and a provider in the kingdom of God is not about how much we have but how much faith and trust we put upon the miracle worker, Jesus Christ. The word lacking is "husterema" which means lack of any kind, whether of support, sustenance, aid, consolation, information, or counsel. We can stand in faith to be that help for the body of Christ today. Let us be bold to step out in faith for one another. Blessings Ps Ambrose Francis
