Acts 10:46 NKJV

For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, Acts 10:46 NKJV

There was a man named Cornelius who was a centurion. He was a devout man and feared God together with his whole household. Cornelius and his household were eager to know God more and desired for the truths and did as the angel of the Lord told him. Peter was called in and spoke the truth about Jesus Christ, proclaiming Christ the Son of the living God and in Him alone there is forgiveness of sin and eternal life. As Peter was speaking, the Holy Spirit of God fell on them who heard the word preached by Peter and they spoke in tongues. The manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues. Desiring and using the gifts that God has put into our lives is very important. It builds our spirit man in God to live in our true identity in Christ Jesus. We are born again into His likeness and as a spirit being We need to exercise our spiritual muscles. This is the promise that Jesus spoke about to the early disciples to wait for the promise. This promise of God is fulfilled to all who would believe. The people believed what Peter spoke. They took Peter's word because they heard the instruction from the angel of God. Praying in the spirit is declining in the modern churches today. We need to teach the true gospel with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Let us build ourself up in the Holy Spirit every day so that we can be spiritually alert in the things of God. Blessings Ambrose Francis
