Mark 14:6 NKJV

But Jesus said, “Let her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a good work for Me. Mark 14:6 NKJV

A woman with an alabaster flask filled with expensive spikenard oil broke it and wiped Jesus' feet with her hair. She was criticized by Jesus' own disciples, indicating waste and could have done something better with it. Jesus on the other hand said to His disciples to leave her alone and told them all this act will be recorded and remembered for generations. What this woman did was she brought her wealth, her precious possession and her investments to give unto Jesus in a way that she would hold nothing back. She did not pour it but broke it. This speaks of what was expensive in her hand is nothing compared to Jesus. It also speaks about fully giving her life to the Lord and not holding back anything. When we are moved to do something for the Lord, people may not understand, people may criticise or give us advice on what would be better. But Jesus would say to us let everyone do as we are moved to do. When we do something unto the Lord, it does not matter how we look like to the world around us. What matters most is how our Lord is looking at us. He desires to live in constant fellowship with us. Every move we make and everything we do unto the Lord is important for the Lord and He pays close attention to it and receives it. Let us continue to live committed to Him and let Jesus be magnified in and through our life. Blessings Ambrose Francis
