“since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all the saints;”

Paul was encouraged and applauded the Colossian believers for their faith in Christ that is reflected in a powerful way in their community.
The love of God among the believers were so evident, that the news of their love for God and for one another spread across the towns.
The Colossian believers were not hiding their faith in Christ. Instead, they lived out boldly in faith and in love.
They carried the manifestation of God’s love through their lifestyle. They were known in their community as people who believe in Jesus.
Many believers proclaim Christ boldly in church settings during worship, testimonies and activities involving other believers but many would hide Jesus in their heart like a secret agent.
Believers sometimes keep their faith secret because they are fearful of rejection or fear of being ridiculed.
Jesus said that no one lights up a lam and put it under the table. We are not a secret agents of God but light that was made to shine and light up the world.
This does not mean that we should stand on the corner of the road and announce that I am a believer. But it does mean that our lifestyle will shine God’s glory and power.
This does mean that we are to be bold to live out the principles of Christ, the promises of God and the hand that reaches the lost.
People will tell that we are living for Jesus and not for ourselves. Our love and care for each other become so evident that people want to be a part of the family.
Let us live our lives with boldness so that God’s glory and His power can be seen evidently in and through our life.
