Titus 1:1 NKJV
“Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness,”
Titus 1:1 NKJV
Paul started his greetings to Titus in his position as a bondservant of God. This is to describe his intention. His heart is to build God’s kingdom.
He as a bondservant of God, would not implement his own desires or do things out of his own frustration but for the purpose of the kingdom of God.
It is also important to note that what he has received from God can be seen in his life. This proves his authenticity in living out his life to fulfil God’s assignment in his life.
For Paul acknowledged his life with the truth of God’s word. This speaks of his character and determination to stand for the gospel of Christ.
As leaders, we are called to live out Christ, to manifest his promises by believing and holding on till the end.
The best and most effective book anyone can read is our lifestyle. It is an open book that the world can see.
Paul is drawing Titus' attention to see Paul as a book that he can read, learn and apply in his own life.
To be imitators is a powerful word as God’s word says to be imitators of God.
This means God’s promises can be seen in our character, our words and the way we do life.
It no longer depends on our opinion or what we are used to but to live according to the truth of God’s word.
The world needs many books to be displayed about Jesus, so many may know His love and His grace.
Let us put into practice God’s image and likeness every day so that many will know about Jesus Christ our Lord.
Blessings
