Romans 1:5 NKJV
“Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name,”
Romans 1:5 NKJV
This is one of Paul’s greatest letters to the Romans, powerfully explaining the gospel of Christ.
Paul starts by declaring his position to minister, saying that it is purely a gift from God to be called an apostle.
Paul regards it an honour and privilege to preach the gospel of Christ.
It is an unmerited favour God placed on each one of us who believe in Him.
Everything that Paul had functioned, he functioned under the grace of God.
Every correction and discipline he brought to the church was under the grace of God.
Nothing is for personal gain but to bring believers to their full potential in God.
The encounter Paul had received on the road near Damascus brought such enlightenment to his life and ministry.
Before Paul became a minister of grace, he was a minister of condemnation.
Now by the revelation of God, he understands no one can be at peace with God nor do God's works without the grace of God.
We are graced to walk in obedience by faith. We have been favoured to walk in obedience because of what Christ has done for us.
We are graced to walk by faith, graced to perform signs and wonders, graced to live in health and healing.
God’s fullness flows when we live under the grace of God.
What disqualifies us from His grace is when we try to earn it with our own works.
One of the reasons we as a believer don’t see much of God’s promises come to pass is because we are trying to attain the power to do His work.
The truth is we have been graced with the power and abilities to carry out His works.
Let us walk in the faith of the Son of God and live in His grace every day.
Blessings
