‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears."

‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Samuel grew up serving the Lord and the word of God was rare those days and there was a lack of the knowledge of God.

Samuel heard God’s voice three times before Eli told Samuel that it was God who was calling him.

When the word and revelation was rare, Samuel responded to Eli instead of God. Eli had to tell Samuel that if he hears that again, it is God who is calling Him.

Samuel responded to God the fourth time and God revealed to Samuel the things that will take place.

This shows how important it is for us to continue to give ourselves to knowing God through His word and His Spirit.

The revelation of God sharpens our ears to His voice and His word will enlighten us to His ways.

We are all children of God in Christ and we are His body here on earth. We are to display Him in every area of our lives.

The way we display Him is by knowing His word and follow the leading of His Spirit.

Samuel was in the temple but still did not recognise God’s voice.

Attending church alone dose not help us to hear God but if we build our relationship with Him through the word of God and in the knowledge of Him who has called us into the fellowship then we are able to respond correctly and fulfil God’s purpose.

Let us continue to refresh ourselves with His word, His voice and His Spirit every day.

Blessings
