Deuteronomy‬ ‭1:31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.’”

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭1:31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Israelites experienced God’s amazing love, protection, provision and miracles yet all of the goodness of God vanished because they treasured it not in their heart.

The Israelites did not consider God when they faced their challenges.

They considered their challenges more than God.

When fear grips our hearts, faith has lost its hold but when faith grips our hearts, fear has lost its hold.

God wants us to live a life of constant worship unto Him. This is so that our eyes are always on Him. If our eyes are on Him, then we will consider God and His power over whatever may come our way.

This is the reason God spoke to Joshua and Caleb to meditate on the word of God day and night so that it will not be just a memory verse that they can recite but God’s word that transformed their thoughts, hearts and minds.

They did not enter the promised land because they always get caught up with who is before them instead of who is for them.

Nations trembled before the Lord Almighty but His own people trembled before the nation except for Joshua and Caleb.

Do we really know who is standing on our side?

Do we really know who is more powerful?

Do we acknowledge God and let Him lead the way?

The Israelites have done the same mistakes again and again by not looking at God and His commands. Therefore, we must stop looking at what’s not happening and start obeying and doing what the Lord Almighty has spoken.

We need to see God as a faithful God and that He will bring us through every storm of life to reach our promised land.

Start writing God’s word on the tablets of our hearts. Set Him as the first in everything we do and see the deliverance of the Lord in our lives.

God carried the Israelites as one who carries His son. God is still carrying us today to fulfil all that He has for us.

Blessings
