Exodus‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“But when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river’s bank.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jochebed, Moses's mother risked her life by hiding Moses for 3 months and after that decided to put baby Moses in a basket believing he will be saved.

Moses is one of the many great people God used to show forth God’s plans, purpose and power.

Moses was a very learned and powerful man in Pharaoh's kingdom. Moses was high in rank and had authority in the most powerful kingdom on earth at that time.

Moses led thousands of people out of bondage with miracles. Moses was a very accomplished man.

But if God did not lead Jochebed to risk her life by putting Moses into that basket, there might not be Moses, the prominent, great and successful man.

If Moses is a successful, great and prominent man then Jochebed is greater than that.

Success is not about how big, famous and prominent we can be. Success is about how we become an instrument to nurture others to fulfil God’s plans.

As we may find some failures on Moses' part but Jochebed had successfully saved Moses from death and led him into his God-given destiny.

We may not read much about Jochebed and what she did may be very little compared to Moses, but without Jochebed, there might not be any Moses.

We are all important in the kingdom of God. The little we do might be the key to the bigger things happening.

Be faithful in the little things, even when we don’t see much happening because when the time comes, we all will see the greatness of our God.

Let us keep serving, loving and reaching out with the love of Christ.

Blessings
