Acts‬ ‭7:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And God gave him no inheritance in it, not even enough to set his foot on. But even when Abraham had no child, He promised to give it to him for a possession, and to his descendants after him.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭7:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus spoke in John 4:24 that God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.

Stephen, therefore, gave an account before the Sanhedrin and the crowd that gathered there that they are not limited by location, day or time to worship God.

Just as what Jesus said, Stephen said that by the Spirit of God we all can worship Him without any restriction of time, specific day or place.

Stephen is not telling the Sanhedrin and the crowd that they don’t need to go to a place of worship but they can worship God anywhere and any time.

Then Stephen spoke about Abraham, the Father of faith, who received the promise after he and his wife passed the age to bear a child.

The important point to take home is that no matter what it looks like in the natural, God is faithful to His promises and in Him all things will spring forth to life.

Abraham received His promise 100% from God. Therefore, no man can take the glory from God.

God’s promises are yes and amen. If we hold on to God’s promises, not only do we enjoy the blessings of it but our children and the next generation will be blessed by it.

What may look like nothing in the natural, if we are consistent in obeying the Lord, we will receive a great reward that gives God all the glory.

We know when Sarah tried to manufacture God’s promise to come true, it created more friction and problems in the family.

Therefore, let us continue to obey God and live by His promises which are yes and amen to us who believe.

Blessings
