“It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.”

Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of God and likened it to leaven which a woman took 3 measures of meal till it was all leavened.

God’s word tells us that we have received the kingdom of God.

God’s kingdom is within us. Therefore, we are that leaven that needs to be added into every life so that everyone can reach their full potential in Christ.

The 3 measures of flour also speaks of the maturity of the people in the church. It includes growth in three areas - spirit, soul and body.

This shows there are no stagnant believers but maturing believers, always growing and flourishing as the kingdom of God in this world.

Every believer of Christ is to grow from glory to glory and from strength to strength.

It’s important that we as a church of Jesus Christ continue to be teachable, growing and maturing to be like that leaven that leavens the whole meal.

We are an important part of the kingdom of God, for the meal to be leavened, it depends on us, it depends on our kingdom actions and inputs.

Let us be that true leaven that Jesus has made us to be for each other and for the world to be saved.

Together we can be a powerful force of God’s kingdom here on earth.
