John 16:32 NKJV
“Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.”
John 16:32 NKJV
Jesus knew that the hour is coming that the disciples will abandon Him, deny Him and the one whom He raised as His own disciples will be scattered.
Jesus knew that His encouragement, His own that understood Him and those that He hoped for were no longer with Him.
Jesus teaches us that when we serve Him with all of our hearts, there will be times when we feel the people, the support and the encouragement that we use to get no longer surrounds us.
When we do face times like this, whether in our ministries and in our work or our own family.
When we do go through life when no one is wanting to journey with us to follow Jesus and fulfil His purpose.
This is when we look at what Jesus did and how He went through this season in His life.
Jesus ultimate approval, validation, success and anchor does not depend on those around Him but His Father who is with Him.
Jesus took comfort by being conscious of His Father’s presence, His Father’s promises and count that His Father is more important than those around Him.
We too need to lift our eyes from those around us to Him who is in us. He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Let us fix our heart to the one who called us. For He is the Faithful God, the One who supplies all our needs to complete the work that’s been set for us.
As Jesus was conscious of His Father more than the surroundings, so should we be conscious of Jesus, His word and the Holy Spirit that is within us.
“If God is for us, who can be against us” is not just a scripture that we quote here and there but the truth that will set us free if we believe and live that way.
God who has given His kingdom to us surely has made a way to accomplish His purposes through us.
Let us stay in Him, move in Him and live in Him all the days of our lives.
Blessings
