Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

Paul did not deny his circumstances that war against his spirit and against his identity in Christ. Paul taught believers to put on Christ by putting off the members of the flesh.

Once we were members of the flesh which was bound to the influence of satan. But now we are members of the body of Christ where His life flows through us by the power of His spirit.

The way we put to death the deeds of the flesh is by putting on Christ. God the Holy Spirit will produce His fruits in and through our lives.

When we face temptation and things that are lurking within us that is of the fallen nature, we need to step in immediately and take authority over it and put on Christ in that area of our lives.

It is important that we keep watch of what comes out of our mouths, our minds and our hearts. We need to pull down anything that is not of Christ, uproot and destroy it in Jesus name.

As we keep changing and keep putting on Christ, we will see godly changes take place in our lives.

Paul says that we have to put to death the members of the flesh. Don't pray and ask God to do it. It is our duty to cast off the deeds of the flesh because God has given us the authority and power over it.

We have to cast our old life and take on the new in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Never ask God to do something God has asked us to do. God wants us to take our place in Him to rule and reign with Him.

Let us take every opportunity and put to death everything that is of the world and put on Christ Jesus all the days of our lives.
