Acts 24:16 NKJV
This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offence toward God and men.
Acts 24:16 NKJV
When Paul was accused, imprisoned and rejected by the Pharisees and Sadducees, Paul kept his conscience clear from the offence.
Paul knew if he took offence, he is going to follow his flesh and will start to do things according to his carnal feelings.
Paul also knows that the reason the Pharisees and Sadducees were so angry with him and wanted to kill him is because they were offended.
To be offended is to be unwilling to forgive. This will blind us to our vision of God and will cause us to avenge, accuse and become more evil in our perception of things.
Unforgiveness of an offence will steal, kill and destroy our joy, passion and love for God.
This is one of the practical things that Paul continues to do which is no matter who it is or what has been done or what has been spoken, he must not take offence.
We can move in such freedom and in peace with a sound mind when we keep ourselves free from being offended.
Be aware of the enemies trap, to allure us to be offended and to feel we deserve the right to judge others.
Let us keep our hearts free from being offended and keep living in the peace and love of God.
