When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

Everyone exercises authority in their lives.

One exercises it by giving it away to the enemy through negative thoughts, words and execution.

Another exercise their authority by believing for the best that God has prepared for them. They guard the authority, nourish them and see it come to pass in their lives.

We all have a responsibility at a different level to use authority to govern those levels in our lives. God wants us to know His righteousness in us and use the authority He has given us.

The righteous in authority means that we take our place in Christ.

As the righteousness of God, we operate by displaying the authority and power of Jesus Christ in every area of our lives.

Whenever we exercise the God-given authority, it will bring forth benefits for all because we exercised it in God's righteousness.

The authority we should operate from is the authority we have received from God as a new creation.

Therefore, we execute it with the mind, heart and word of Christ. God the Holy Spirit will witness with our spirit when we do everything by honouring God above our self-interest.

Let us rule our life and exercise authority through God's righteousness.
