And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”

Jesus, when He was tempted by satan, spoke out the truth of God's word. That is the power that puts satan and his plans to no effect on Jesus.

Jesus disabled and defeated satan by the truth of who He is as a Son of God. Jesus knew His identity and spoke with such assurance of who He is.

Satan is defeated the moment we stand on God's word and speak out His promises. We are blessed to be born again into His image and likeness.

Jesus exercised His authority and power over every device of satan.

We need to be confident of who we are in Him. We need to have the assurance of the power that Christ Jesus had deposited in us all.

Our faith needs to be raised up and our trust has to be anchored in Jesus Christ our Lord.

We must take authority over every plan of the enemy and we must cast down everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God

We are to be bold to cast out the devil every time. We are in a war and we are going to face the challenges but be of good cheer for Christ has overcome the world.

Let us continue to worship and praise the Lord forever.
