Hebrews 8:13 NKJV

In that He says, “A new covenant ,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 8:13 NKJV

There are many covenants that God had made so that mankind can be blessed and have opportunities for their lives. But it all came down to two main covenants, that is the old covenant and the new covenant.

All the old covenants were made because of God's mercy with regards to the circumstances mankind was living in, but the last covenant which is the new covenant which was established by Jesus is made to bring mankind back to the image and likenesses of God.

This is why the word of God said in 1 Corinthians 3:11 - For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Now, whatever covenant it may be or whatever spiritual exercises we have been doing for generations need to come under the finished work of Christ.

Jesus established a new covenant that needs no more alterations in the years to come because it has been perfected for eternity.

Choosing to align our hearts and minds according to the new covenant in Christ is the wisdom of God.

We must be careful that by observing the old, we might unknowingly put away the perfect covenant that Jesus has made for us.

Therefore, it is important that we are to be focused, single-minded and our hearts set on Christ, on Him crucified and all that He has promised.

God's word is a covenant.

Jesus is the word (covenant) that was made manifest to all mankind. Let us live in the new and live the new life in Christ.

Blessings
