I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV

God's word clearly teaches us that we have been equipped to overcome every temptation that will come our way.

The first key to overcome temptations is to BELIEVE that we have the power given by God to overcome any temptation that is staring at us.

Most of the time when we read a victorious scripture, we say "but it is hard to do it".

We kill the life out of that victorious promise of God by our confession and the way we see it.

What we say is usually a reflection of who we are on the inside. For example, we are reflecting insecurity or doubt when we say that we are not sure if we could do this when God says yes we can.

When we say yes to God's word yet followed by a declaration that it is hard, we are in direct confrontation with God's promises and not in agreement with what God has said.

Faith in God is an absolute assurance and trust that whatever God has said, it is the final decision we are to stand on.

We have to look at the temptation from a mindset that is in right standing with God's word. Not in doubt, unbelief or any other way that disqualifies the integrity of God's word.

When God's word says we can do all things, we must not counter it with any other responses but to say YES and AMEN. Let it be a firm response like Mary's response; so be it to me as according to what GOD has said.

Let us be confident to believe God's word and His promises completely because He is faithful to do it when we believe.

Blessings
