Psalms 20:7 NKJV
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”
Psalms 20:7 NKJV
Many people believe in God and do their rituals so faithfully yet their real trust is the wealth they can accumulate and hope luck will be on their side.
So often we fall in this trap ourselves. We may not say that we deny God or don’t believe Him but our trust is anchored on something else.
David expresses his trust is not in the mighty army, not in his chariots that carry powerful weapons but his trust is in the Name of the Lord his God.
King David did not discard his chariots or his horses. He still used them but his absolute trust is in His God.
A person who trusts in their army will look at the size of their army and what weapon he is using to know whether he is going to win or not.
But the person who trusts in their God will look at God’s command and His directions and know that no power or any weapon can come against Almighty God.
King David encouraged himself to continue trusting God by remembering that he is serving the Almighty God, the Great I Am and all that God had done in the past.
When we face a crisis, do we rest our case by looking at what we have or who can help us in this situation or do we rest in God and follow Him.
The truth is when we choose to follow Jesus, and trust Him completely. He will walk us through the crisis, bring us out of the fire without a smell of smoke on us.
When we choose to follow Jesus, He will use the insignificant things that we have in our hand and make a significant miracle in our lives.
We are not to look at our bank account, our savings and our resources in order to serve the Lord.
We are to look at Jesus and listen to His voice. Following His directions and be amazed by the things He will display before us.
Let us put our trust in Jesus and in all that He has done for us.
Blessings
