Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

After seeing the power of God delivering the Israelites out of bondage, walking across the sea on dry ground, and having food in the desert yet the first generation did not enter their promised land.

A new leader arose with a new generation that follows God and His instructions.

God said to them to be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid because if they are not strong in standing according to God’s instructions, they are going to be shaken.

To be strong in the Lord is to know who is our God, to know that His power and might is far greater than any power of the enemy.

By doing so, it will give us courage and boldness in the midst of our adversities.

Fear is the opposite of faith. The moment we fear, we have lost our faith in God, and in who God is and what He has promised.

Faith and fear cannot

co-exist. One will cast out the other. If we see God in the midst of our adversities, then we are standing in faith and have cast off fear.

Fear will grip our hearts away from the truth and cause us to see the destruction that is about to happen.

Faith will grip our hearts towards the truth of God’s promises and cause us to see the blessings that are ahead of us.

Two generations faced the same enemy, looked at the same land, and had the same promise but the one who set their hearts and minds in God entered the promised land.

Let us have faith in God and rule over every fear. Let everything that satan tries to bring be cast out by our faith in Jesus and in His promises.

Let us be strong in God, take courage in God, and believe that in faith, all things will work out together for the good of those who love God.
