Luke‬ ‭14:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And Jesus, answering, spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭14:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus did not come to abolish the law but to fulfil it. For the ways of God is different from the ways of men.

This is because the old nature of man is condemned, therefore, anything that they do will result in condemnation.

But Jesus who has no sin is a picture of the new man. What meant to condemn Jesus brought true justification and true life.

The question Jesus asked the Pharisees and lawyers is to highlight the goal that is to be achieved in the end.

Therefore, if it is to remain in sickness then the law will profit nothing, but if it is meant to make some whole again, then it has fulfilled its purpose.

Jesus paid the penalty that held mankind in that law by His own death. Jesus died without sin. Therefore, the law of sin and death could no longer hold Him. Jesus was resurrected with the power over death and over its laws.

Now in Christ, we live under the law of His Spirit and His life. We are no longer under sin and death but under God and His kingdom.

Now in Christ, we are more than a conqueror, the head and not the tail, having the keys of the kingdom and we rule and reign with Christ.

Every part of us will produce God’s goodness and God’s love. When we believe what we have on the inside, we will be able to display it on the outside.

God made us to live above the law of sin and death. So that we can now guide our minds and hearts to live in the law of the Spirit in Christ Jesus.

Let us continue to direct every part of our heart, mind and strength in the law of the Spirit that we have received in Christ.

Blessings
