Matthew‬ ‭2:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt,”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭2:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Joseph was convinced in his dream to take his wife, Mary, and Son to Egypt. He immediately acted on God’s instruction at that very moment.

The moment he woke up from that dream, he prepared his family and left Bethlehem that very night.

We have heard many times that delayed obedience is disobedience and that is true. It is also true that delayed obedience can cause us to be caught up in the danger that God is trying to navigate us from.

What if Joseph said, "Ok, next month we will get ready and go." after God has shown him in a dream what he should do?

"After all, my baby boy has just been born and my wife needs to fully recover for them to be safe to travel."

Joseph and his family would have been caught up in Herod’s plan to kill his son.

Disobedience in this situation for Joseph might have cost him his loved ones. It is clearly evident that obeying God is to save our lives and our loved ones.

God who knows the beginning and the end, when He guides us or shows us something, we must not delay nor disobey.

We don’t know what is going to happen next but we certainly can trust Jesus and His Holy Spirit to lead us.

Joseph played a very important role as part of God’s perfect plan for the salvation of mankind.

All this is because of his immediate obedience that changed the destiny of the entire human race.

Every time we obey God and do as He says, we are preparing the way for the second coming of Christ.

Let us live life obeying God and be a part of preparing the way for His coming.

Blessings
