Philippians‬ ‭4:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul was blessed by the Philippians. He was blessed by their gifts for it is a sign of their maturity in Christ producing fruits that will last for eternity.

The giving of the gifts was a blessing because it reflected the nature of Christ.

Paul also mentioned it is like a sweet-smelling aroma, acceptable sacrifice, and pleasing to the Lord.

What the Philippians did unto Paul, Paul is saying they did it unto the Lord and it brings glory and honour to our Father in heaven.

The glory of a father is when his son reflects him. The father takes joy in seeing his offspring living out the good nature that brings glory to him.

Our Heavenly Father in heaven gets all the glory and honour when we reflect His nature in our lives.

When we give, when we share, when we care, love, encourage and edify one another, we reflect the nature of our God.

This is what brings glory to our Father. We give God thanks and praise when help comes to our aid.

We also reveal Christ when we do good to others. Our giving, no matter what it looks like, from a smile to respect, honour, money, materials, encouragement, and love reflects Christ in us.

It is God who supplies all our needs. It is a big difference between what we want and what we need.

We don’t serve people for what they want but for what they need. What they need will bless them but giving what they want will spoil them.

God gets the glory when we give them their needs and not their wants. Following God’s principles and His character helps us to define our giving so that it will bring glory to our God.

We don’t want people to manipulate us to give because they want something. It will set a bad characteristic in them.

When we help people according to their needs, we are helping them to develop a good character that brings glory to our God.

We must not allow our giving to bring destruction to others but to help them to be better in their lives.

Let everything that we do reflect Jesus and bring glory to our Heavenly Father.

Blessings
