John 20:25 NKJV
“The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”
John 20:25 NKJV
Thomas, one of the twelve disciples of Jesus was known as doubting Thomas.
When Jesus appeared in the midst of the disciples after His death, all the disciples saw Jesus except Thomas.
I wonder how many more would have said the same thing if they too were not there when Jesus appeared.
The disciples spent time with Jesus, walked with Him, heard the teachings, and even performed miracles yet when they don’t see it first, they doubt that was true.
Today many people are driven by the fallen nature, doing business to gain more than they should, keep what they should be giving and make things look great to deceive people.
Therefore, we have developed a lifestyle to see first, check first, and for some to taste it first before believing.
It is important for us to check everything that the world puts out there but the mistake that we do is to look, perceive and respond the same way to a totally different kingdom.
The kingdom of this world which is influenced by satan is different from the Kingdom of God. Both kingdoms are different in nature.
God who rules His kingdom as a righteous King that blesses every citizen, cause them to inherit everything that He owns, and gives them power and authority.
The fallen kingdom we live in is full of greed, pride, and lust to satisfy themselves and not others.
Everything in His kingdom is good, perfect, and glorious to benefit His people.
The kingdom of God is the total opposite of the kingdom of this world. Therefore, we cannot respond the same way to both kingdoms.
We have to be cautious with the things of this world but absolutely confident to trust God and everything about His kingdom.
God’s word is His kingdom. Every word of a king is a decree. It becomes a law to carry out what was spoken by the king.
Therefore, if we believe what the King has spoken then we can see the manifestation of that word.
When we believe God’s word, we honour God and welcome His decree that carries the power to change our lives.
Let us cast off every doubt, just trust God at His word and see His wonders take place in our lives.
Blessings
