Matthew‬ ‭8:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

The centurion who is not a believer had a servant that was dying. He came and asked Jesus to heal his servant. When Jesus said, "I will come," the centurion said something that marveled Jesus.

The centurion understood about authority. He understood that when someone is under authority, he can use his authority to command, give directions and make things happen.

He understood that Jesus is a man with authority and that whatever Jesus says will take place.

The centurion did not measure how big was his situation or how small is the miracle needed. The centurion measured Jesus as a man with God’s authority. Therefore, whatever Jesus says, it will take place.

What the centurion did here, was he put his faith in the authority and power that Jesus was carrying.

This great faith that is anchored in Jesus and not in their own righteousness is what Jesus did not find anywhere else, not even in Israel.

We as a believer have received God’s kingdom and have been given the keys. We need to believe that as Jesus carried the authority of His Father over His life, we too carry the authority of Jesus over our lives.

We have to put our trust in Him who is faithful, trust Him who never fails, and trust Him to guide us through all our challenges and come out victorious.

Every creation acknowledges God’s authority and power. Therefore, the world awaits for the sons of God to speak directions, prophesy life, and restore everything back as God intended.

Let us take our authority and use it to pray for His kingdom on earth, changing the spiritual landscape of our world.

Let us take authority over every device of the enemy and speak God’s glory over our lives, family, and nations.
