John 1:25 NKJV
“And they asked him, saying, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”
John 1:25 NKJV
The Pharisees were questioning the work John the Baptist was doing. They know the scripture and the way needed to be prepared for the Messiah to come.
John the Baptist was fulfilling scripture yet the religious mind was blinded by their self-righteousness.
Religious people love to keep tradition and not keep living the life God desires.
We must not be trapped in finding ourselves judging the very work of God.
When the truth is revealed, we must walk in it.
When someone is living out God’s plan and purpose, we must support it.
We are not called to question but called to do the works of Christ.
Today, we who are born again in Christ are a new creation.
We have received a kingdom that cannot be shaken and we have all the power to reign with Christ here on earth.
We have been entrusted to do the works of Christ, to save souls and set people free.
As we do what Christ has told us to do, be aware not to be put off by religious people.
We must not be distracted, or discouraged but keep doing what the Lord is leading us to do.
The ones who will oppose are those who are living in their pride. They won’t do the work of God, yet they will try to stop those who do the work of God.
Let us live life to our fullest by following Jesus and fulfil everything that God had ordained by His power.
