“For we know in part and we prophesy in part.”

Prophecy is such a powerful gift to the body of Christ to bring enlightenment, to kick start something that points to God’s plan.

It is an accompaniment, highlighting the points to the whole picture of God and it brings to life that which is hidden.

The gift of prophecy cannot function on its own.

It must be accompanied by the rest of the gifts and be grounded in love.

Living life by the prophetic alone will bring people astray if it is not rooted in the word of God and accompanied by other gifts.

Therefore, it is important that we don’t just live by just one part of the gifts.

We need them all to fulfil our destiny in God.

If we run after something that is only partial, we will not be able to see the full picture of what God has in store for us.

Seek God and all that He has given which includes prophecy and grow from strength to strength.

We not only need prophecy to have an insight into the plan of God but we also need the word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, working of miracles, distinguishing spirits, various kinds of tongues, and interpretation of tongues.

We become more fruitful, lasting, powerful, and effective children of the living God.
