Mark 5:39 NKJV
“When He came in, He said to them, “Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping.””
Mark 5:39 NKJV
Jesus went into Jairus' house and saw people mourning, crying and weeping because the little girl is dead.
The fact is there was a girl that is no longer breathing, dead and possible arrangements are being made for burial.
Jesus came into the house and said “she is sleeping” for she is not dead.
What is Jesus saying? Is Jesus lying about the situation? Was He ignorant of what has happened to this girl?
No, Jesus was not lying and no, Jesus was not ignorant of the situation but what Jesus did, He spoke those things that are not as though they are.
Jesus saw death but called forth life, Jesus saw sadness but turned that into joy. Jesus spoke not what He saw but what He wanted to see.
If we should imitate Christ and live like Him, then we need to learn to speak like Him.
We need to learn to put some people out who cry about the present reality, we need to put people who talk about how bad things are and start to speak what we want to see.
God has given us the power to create something by our own words. He made us in His image and likeness so that His words will come out of our mouth.
What are we speaking about today? How are we responding to our mountains today and how are we using the power of God in our life today?
Let us speak as Jesus spoke and call those things that are not as though they are.
Blessings
