Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”

Acts 1:6 NKJV

Jesus is speaking of the promise that they are going to receive. The promise that will change their outlook from being merely a religion to a powerful movement of God.

But the disciples were so distracted about things that are focused on fruits before planting the seed.

Jesus had to remind His disciples of the most important thing first before the kingdom of God could come and be established.

He said you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and then you will be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Every system or every political issue that we face today that is evil can be realigned to God's plan when we as a church start to move in the power of God.

If we keep doing what God is saying and not be distracted by the issues in the world, then the issues in the world have the chance to change.

We are all carriers of God's glory and power.

We are to shine to the world the plans and purposes of God which is far above what the world could offer.

It's time we keep hearing God through His word and through His Spirit, doing all that He has commanded us in the new covenant and be the light to the world.

Yes, and be ready in season and out of season.

Be ready to learn and not harden our hearts to the things the Lord is showing through His children.

Let us be aware!

If we are doing something else besides what God has commanded us to do first, we then need to stop so we can start to do what God has spoken.

And we will see that change will begin to take place.
