Galatians 2:14 NKJV

But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews?

Galatians 2:14 NKJV

Paul was addressing the issue of fearing God or fearing man. Whatever we are involved in or whatever we believe, it must not be partial obedience but total obedience to Christ's instructions.

Though Paul was addressing this issue of behaviour toward Jews and Gentiles but it goes deeper than that.

It addresses the issue we face today in church as a believer. As we would speak and teach about obedience to Christ yet we don't practice or believe certain things.

Many believe in the Holy Spirit yet some discourage the gifts of the Holy Spirit or the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

One of the main issues is we don't want to lose control of our life and we want to look dignified before people rather than God.

We pick and choose what we want to believe that will look good on us but we reject anything to do with things that challenge us.

We leave churches, home groups and fellowship, because we get sucked in the culture of picking and choosing.

If we are in the fellowship that teaches you to pick and choose, it's a good time to go to a full Bible-believing fellowship.

This is because we are formed in our beliefs by what teachings we hear. It is important we anchor ourselves in God and not in the beliefs of the organisation.

God gave birth to a Church that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. So we must stand in that truth and not be persuaded by the threatening of man or fear of man.

We cannot please man and God. If a man doesn't get in line with God, God's movement is going to flow through another church and people who would fear God and not man.

Let us be part of God's kingdom that fear, honour, obey and glorify God above all else.

Blessings
