Philippians 1:24 NKJV

Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.

Philippians 1:24 NKJV

Paul the Apostle gave his life not only to serve the Lord but through these letters, we can see he had given his life to serving the believers.

To Paul, the personal gain becomes less important and what is of God becomes a priority for him.

Despite the state of condition he was living, he chose others over himself.

We have the writings of Paul today because of his selfless sacrifice he has lived. This truly reflects Jesus the One whom he serves.

This is a man who not only preached Jesus and His kingdom but lived it for all to see, even in the prison cell.

His letters from prison were filled with life, encouragement, hope, power and strength to all who receive it.

How is it that the letter from a person who is in prison can set those who are outside of the prison free? It is because Paul was living out Jesus.

Many preached the kingdom of God with selfish ambitions, building their own empire but for Paul, his heart was to build each other for the kingdom of God.

This is how the life of a believer should be, elevating God and His kingdom above everything else.

To live for Jesus also means to live to bless one another for the expansion of God's kingdom at the expense of our own life.

The more we lose or give our lives here on earth for the kingdom of God, the greater investment we are making for eternity in heaven.

Blessings
